FCEUX is an emulation of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Famicom, Famicom Disc System (FDS), and Dendy. This supports the Hybrid modes NTSC (USA / JPN), PAL (European), and NTSC-PAL. It allows cross-compatibility to both Windows and SDL versions.
The idea of FCEUX is that of an emulator "all in one," providing correct emulation and the best options for both casual play and a range of more advanced emulator functions. FCEUX provides software for pro users for debugging, rom-hacking, map creation, tool-assisted videos, and FCEUX Lua scripting is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. In the course of time, FCE Ultra had split into several distinct groups.
