Mupen64 is not as easy to use as Project64, but it provides a better audio experience. If you're having trouble with some of the Project64 titles, we suggest that you try Mupen64Plus. By contrast, Mupen64 does not have a user interface. Then, you're booting ROMs through the command line. That said, you can add a front-end user interface by installing an external plug-in, such as M64Py, specifically designed for Mupen64Plus.
